If, however, FeCl(2) with final concentration 10 microg/ml was added to the
lymphocyte suspensions to stimulate ROS production, after both durations of
exposure, the magnitude of fluorescence (ROS level during the experiment) was
significantly greater in the exposed lymphocytes.

Acute exposure to 930 MHz CW electromagnetic radiation in vitro affects
reactive oxygen species level in rat lymphocytes treated by iron ions.

Zmyslony M, Politanski P, Rajkowska E, Szymczak W, Jajte J.

Physical Hazards Department, Nofer Institute of Occupational Medicine, Lodz,
Poland.

The aim of this study was to test the hypothesis that the 930 MHz continuous
wave (CW) electromagnetic field, which is the carrier of signals emitted by
cellular phones, affects the reactive oxygen species (ROS) level in living
cells. Rat lymphocytes were used in the experiments. A portion of the
lymphocytes was treated with iron ions to induce oxidative processes. Exposures
to electromagnetic radiation (power density 5 W/m(2), theoretical calculated
SAR = 1.5 W/kg) were performed within a GTEM cell. Intracellular ROS were
measured by the fluorescent probe dichlorofluorescin diacetate (DCF-DA). The
results show that acute (5 and 15 min) exposure does not affect the number of
produced ROS. If, however, FeCl(2) with final concentration 10 microg/ml was
added to the lymphocyte suspensions to stimulate ROS production, after both
durations of exposure, the magnitude of fluorescence (ROS level during the
experiment) was significantly greater in the exposed lymphocytes. The character
of the changes in the number of free radicals observed in our experiments was
qualitatively compatible with the theoretical prediction from the model of
electromagnetic radiation effect on radical pairs. Bioelectromagnetics

OK, now Mr. Ironjustice. You are going a tad overboard with the iron level
thingy.

Why is it you are so interested in iron levels?

:)

He can not answer that Sunshyne. It would take a professional and lots of
work.

Increased oxidation / reactive oxygen species / free radicals / rust ..is a ..
bad .. thing ..

Hence YOUR taking of .. vitamin E / tocopherol to COMBAT what I assume you
think are depleted .. antioxidants .. destroyed BY Increased oxidation /
reactive oxygen species / free radicals / rust

Nah, humans are omnivores.

I started dieting/low carbing, on Jan. 17th. The Atkins Diet Revolution book is
a great source of information.

I now only eat natural foods. Meat, eggs, dairy, fruit, vegetables, nuts and
seeds. I am feeling quite well lately. Have the downfalls of pain episodes.
Been in one all week, due to traction and PT. Still trying to find answers, the
diet solved alot of questions.

If I go off the diet I described, I feel unwell. IBS, heartburn, migraines,
allergies, rashes.. have pretty much disappeared.

Oh, the kidney problems I had in the past..No longer. Its not true that low
carb diets cause kidney problems. It improves it actually.

I did at first have allergies to dairy, wheat, fermented foods. All pointing to
a possible cause being a system yeast infection going on. Gradually have added
in some cheese's. Doing well on that part. I crave sugar sometimes, which
supposedly feeds the yeast. So sugar is in check.

Why is it you think man are herbivores?
Why is it you are so crazy about iron and iron levels?

(Not being a troll, trying to help, and asking questions)
