Medicine Partners
Your partner in the struggle to save money on your medication.
"Paying for prescription drugs was a problem for 71 percent of people
over 65, according to an AARP survey" (www.aarp.org). Most if not all of
this 71 percent of people have an income of less than $18,000 per year.
Most likely, these people also don't know that there is help. Medicine
Partners is dedicated to helping these people in their struggle to save
money on their medications.
How does it work?
Here at Medicine Partners, we have the resources to find programs that offer
no cost medications to those who qualify. We are continuously searching for
programs, learning the qualifications, and finding the applications needed
to apply.
As your partner, we work hard to cut through the red tape involved in
getting you or those you car about approved for these programs. We find the
programs, we fill out the forms for you and your doctor, and we let you know
everything we will need to complete the process. But, we don't stop there.
We also keep track of when your refill will need to be done and take care of
anything we need for that process. As with any program, there can be
problems. We will take care of those for you.
How do I qualify?
You can not have prescription help anywhere else, unless you have a
medication that is only in brand name form and your insurance will not cover
brand names
Your income is not higher than $24,000 per year or $2000* per month for a
couple or family and $16,000* or $1300 per month for a single person (totals
may vary slightly).
* These totals are Gross income and include all forms of income including
Social Security and Disability.
How does this help me?
The average individual that has been prescribed ongoing medications spends
more than $500 a month on medications alone. If this person is only making
around $1000 per month, that only leaves them with $500 to live on for a
whole month.
Example: A person has to take Lipitor 10 mg at $237 for a three month
supply, Depakote 250 mg at $120 for a three month supply, Zoloft 25 mg at
$264 for a three month supply, Fosamax 5 mg at $231 for a three month
supply, and Nexium 20 mg at $460 for a three month supply.
Total for 3 months: $1312
With our help, upon approval, all of these medications will be sent to you
or your healthcare provider at no cost. What you pay is a $24.99
application fee which is guaranteed to be refundable** if we can not find an
available program for any of your medications or if we can not pre-approve
you. We also charge a processing fee of $5 per month per medication for
which you get approved.
*We will not refund the application fee if we can help you with even one of
your medications.
*We will not refund the application fee if you are already pre-approved and
your paperwork has been processed.
