pain in toes pain in toes -- Posted by Ted Shoemaker on 08-13-04 13:05
Hello,
What do you recommend for a 40-year-old woman who
is developing pain in the big toes?
The doctor said it's arthritis & there's nothing to do for it.
But can a person do exercises, take herbs, hot baths, cold baths, etc?
Thank you!

in addition to what everybody has said, shoes will play a big role in her
comfort, ted. i like new balance for everyday wear, because we can get them
in different widths for comfort.

I am one of a few that advocate good old Apple Pectin. An Apple a Day Keeps
the Doctor a Way. You can find Pharmaceutical grade Apple pectin in most
health food stores and the cost is nominal. Take three (3) 500mg capsules
twice a day for the first couple of days. Then cut back to 2 a day. You
can't overdose and it will not elevate or depress you. I know of no side
effects. If it is going to help you will see noticeable results within 48
hours. I have had tremendous success with giving it to friends that have
Gout, OA, TMJ as well as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Lowers cholesterol as
well. For some it has worked when Glucosamine hasn't.
