While my initial comments were funny to me, for people who are really suffering and with no apparent alternative, the news about Vioxx must have been devastating. Although, I have had a tricky hip joint lately that gives me sudden sharp pains, I haven't had to deal with constant or frequent arthritic pain. So my apologies to you and anyone else who feels trapped in pain. In the past I've been able to nip any arthritic pains with natural topical sprays. My experience is that some topicals work better than others, and the results probably differ from person to person. Vitamin World has a liquid oral product called Joint Maintenance that works pretty good, but like anything else, nothing works well for everybody. My hip seems to act up when I eat rice too often, but that's just me, and would probably offer little benefit for others. Again, my apologies and sympathies to you in your suffering. I was just full of myself, which was of no benefit to you. Since I don't use Vioxx or any drugs, I forgot that people like you have real pain and counted on it for relief.
