Early rumblings that Celebrex might be "Vioxx risky" Early rumblings that Celebrex might be "Vioxx risky" -- Posted by awthrawthr on 10-06-04 19:01
I just heard this during a radio news break. There is a real question
about the heart and brain safety of Celebrex and Bextra.
Since both use a very similar pathway, there is concern among
researchers that Celebrex and Bextra might also increase the risk of a
heart attack or stroke.
Celebrex and Bextra: two more reasons for arthritis sufferers to
explore natural topicals and natural supplements.
The advantages include:
1- no liver, kidney, or stomach injury
2- no bleeding to death (13,500 deaths from NSAID's each year)
3- inexpensive compared to FDA-'proved' drugs
4- no strokes
Every day, I speak to people who are regular users of so-called
'quack' supplements and topicals. They come back month after month,
pulling out their wallet because their experience tells them they are
getting something that's worth more than their money.
They believe it works. They say their aches and pains are greatly
relieved, sometimes totally. They come back month after month.
