Hi Robert - You really should see a Dr. There are over 177 different types of arthritis and different drugs are used for different types. Glucosamine works for some people to regenerate cartilage, but if that's not your problem, it's not going to help. It's strange that you have no problems in the mornings. Most people with arthritis have stiffness and/or pain first thing in the morning. Glucosamine can be pricey so if it were me, I'd see a Dr. You might have a soft tissue problem, i.e., tendons, ligaments. Good luck! Kitty
Hi, I have shoulder in the evenings as well. I also have spinal pain. I wake up stiff and slow moving, but the pain is barely noticeable. By 4pm...the fire starts! By 9pm I am ready to pull my hair out. I have Osteoarthritis in my shoulders and spine, but I also have lupus and gout. A good Rheumatologist will help you. I now take meds to control pain and I also take Osteo bi-flex glucosamine/chondritin. I feel that it has helped with the 'grinding' I was feeling in my shoulders somewhat. who knows? My aunty has just got a unit that provides thermal therapy (yes nomore drugs into your body) and has cleared up her arthritis and lymphodema. It's by a company call Hsin Ten and teh unit is called a HOthouse. You can find them on the web, and will save you doctor going through the list 177 drugs (!) for arthritis. Just doing my bit!
