Not only is this an annoying solicitation but I personally think
Tramadol (also called Ultram) is just as evil as Hydrocodone and
Oxycodone and misrepresented by the med profession in general. I had
taken it for a few months on the recommendation that it was less
addictive than traditional narcotics and actually found it to be the
only drug I've ever had major withdrawal symptoms from. When I stopped
taking it I went through 3 days of flu-like symptoms and was depressed
like hell during that period. Considering that it was much less
effective than the opiates and only slightly more so than ibuprofen I
wouldn't recommend it for pain relief, especially long term.
