Water on the knees--how is it drained? Water on the knees--how is it drained? -- Posted by Ron G on 02-15-05 13:04
Hi---
I'm wondering if it will be a painful time when they drain the water out of
my knee---
Is it none, or mild, or "hold on tight"?
Is it common to feel like my kneecap is tearing off my leg, when I try to
get up?
This is new (the diagnosis)
I thought I was just getting old---
Thanks for any info
Best--
Ron

Hi Ron, I am sorry to say that it can be. It depends on how inflammed the
knee is and the skill of the doctor.
No matter if it hurts or not,,,, make sure the fluid is tested for
infection and get answers on that.

It hurts like hell Ron. I've had it done many a time. I always walk
out feeling like it was worth it though. It instantly restores
mobility.
