This type of shot can relieve you for awhile but they correct nothing. You will still need the operation. harv
Bummer! I was hoping to hear that the shots would last for 3 months--I could get them indefinitely, and postpone the surgery for ages. Guess it was too good to be true. However, is there a limit to how many cortisone shots one can get? Thanks.
Drs . say only 3 shots per year, might fudge with one more. First couple worked for me, then they did not work at all. I have had two Rheumatologists that both said that a person could not have more than three shots a year in any one joint. This could change with different doctors and it does matter the size of the shot.
