OA causes fatigue, too?

Re: OA causes fatigue, too? -- Posted by Nanny on 09-24-05 22:48

Actually, I wasn't thinking of Helen Reddy when I put that in my signature
line. It was a quote I saw in a catalog on a T-shirt. It pretty well sums
up what we feel like with FM, Arthritis, or CFIDS. Wished I'd bought it
then; now I can no longer find it.

Well...Im not sure what this means...for what its worth I am sitting
here right now...25yrs old. A few months ago a chiropractor diagnosed me
with OA in my neck. I kept having (and still have) a pinching there.
After multiple treatments with no real gain he had me go for x-rays.
thats when he made the diagnosis.

I kind of suspected some sort of arthritis due to stiff joints that was
temperature and weather related. not to mention a family history of it...

On a day to day basis i usually hit a wall around 2pm. If i dont get 6-8
hours of sleep its near impossible for me to wake up on time anymore...
its just shear fatigue. No real weakness. while i understand about not
having a chance to rest during the day in a normal job, I sit on my rear
in front of a computer all day. I am a draftsman by trade so 90% of my
8-10 hr day is spent working on a PC. I really dont fatigue myself in
the physical sense anymore. But usually mentally at the end of the day i
am fried like an egg. which in my opinnion is worse then physical tired.

Ive tried naproxin...ibuprofin...acedominphin (sp?) and nothing really
helps. naproxin will work if the pain i get is more weather related...

Thats my personal experience anyway,

Jason
