Ask your doctor or pharmacist. I am not a either, but experience tells me
that it should be taken in the morning on an empty stomach on half hour
before eating. And just before bed. The effect if accumulative however and
may not have any noticable effect for months. You doctor should be kept
posted of this. He may want to increase dosage or change meds altogether. If
you keep your bgs under 300 for up to a few months--it is generally not
considerred a big deal. If it continues to climb beyond that or whatever
your baseline is without it, then inform your doctor. Oral meds fal into two
basic classes. One stinulate your production of insulin--the other increases
your receptivity or sensitivity to it. Then of course insulin suplements or
supplants it.
