Psyllium

Psyllium -- Posted by Jesse Spencer on 07-08-03 18:27

Does anyone have experience using psyllium husk?
I bought some bulk on the net and have been using for a couple weeks
once or twice a day. So far so good. The psyllium I encountered in
stores contained sucrose for palatibility so I eschewed that.
I put about an oz of OJ in a shaker add a bunch of water and a palm
measure (rounded tsp) of psyllium. Shake it and slam it down. Not too
bad. BS does seem lower but hard to tell with my hit and miss diet.

I've been using it for years. I get at a local health food
store in bulk, it's dirt cheap. I take it about the same way
as you, mix a rounded teaspoon in a cup of water and "slam
it down". Be sure to drink a glass of water after you take
it. I take it for constipation and anal fissures. It has
completely cured these problems. I haven't noticed any
change in my BGs from taking it.
