Anyone on low oxilate diet for kidney problems

Am type II and recently had kidney stone removed. Need to not only watch diet
for diabetes but also kidney function eating low oxilate foods. Anyone else
dealing with both whamies? It seems like one can't eat much of anything when
watching for oxilates in foods.

I'm on peritoneal dialysis and am type II, so I have to watch all kinds
of things: carbs, sugar, phosphorus, calories, amounts...it sucks.
However, my dietitian never said anything about low oxilate foods. I
don't even know what they are. I'll have to do some research on that.

Thanks for the info.

I just read your reply. I was told by urologist that my kidney stones were
calcium phosphate. I can't eat any dark green veggies, i.e. spinach, collard
greens, etc. Between the restrictions being Type II and kidney stone diet,
there really isn't much we can eat. I will be having the stones blasted in my
other kidney next month. Good luck.
