unused needles unused needles -- Posted by Emil and Betty Bautista on 06-23-03 23:47
I have been a diebetic for several years and I am on insulin. I have
several extra boxes of insulin syringes unused, still in the sealed bags in
the boxes {1/2cc lo-dose insulin syringe U-100 29 G 1/2 (0.33x13mm)} that I
will never be using. They come in a package of 10 syringes in a bag with 10
bags to the box.
I have since changed to a different style needle and now have these I
would like to donate to any foundation/charity that might be able to use
them. I tried a homeless shelter but they don't have the proper licensing
or means of dispensing them, I thought it would be easy to find some group
who would know of low-income people who could use them, since they are so
expensive to buy. None of these seemed to work and I am running out of
ideas. I don't want to just throw them away if there is any possibility of
some senior citizens or some other group who could make use of them. Can
you please help me with this dilemma? Can you make any suggestions as to
where I might be able to donate them? Can you help at all?I would
appreciate hearing one way or another from you folks. Thanx very much in
advance.
Sincerely,
E. Bautista
