Hmmmm......if quitting diet cokes made the pain go away on Dec 1, 2003, why are you still "unable" to work? Look, if diet cokes cause YOU a problem, then YOU can quit drinking them. But don't lay a hand on MY diet coke, ya hear? Oh, by the way, those "side effects" you list also happen to people who take aspirin, to people who eat chicken, to people who sleep on satin sheets.....in other words, they are just THINGS THAT HAPPEN. Any "syndrome" or "reaction" that has THAT MANY "SYMPTOMS", with only one or two, or even five or ten, happening to each person, then what you really have is not a dangerous substance but a bunch of hypochondriacs who feel like they need more attention than just mere hypochondria is garnering. Either that or the sugar companies are hiring a bunch of people to help them launch a smear campaign against the cause of a major crimp in their profits. Let's say that those options that do not have any known side effects, and that are natural, and has been used in various cultures for centuries (and that those people have benefited from it). Wouldn't the "better" choice be to choice that option, instead of continuing to put something in the body that could "possibly" harm it? What I am saying is that you have your arguments against Aspartame, and those that are in favor of Aspartame. The choice is up to the consumer really.
