diabetes and arthritis

diabetes and arthritis -- Posted by Jillandgordon on 08-10-03 06:43

I am a Type II, poorly controlled by Glucophage and Amaryl, now on a Lantus
clinical study. I have had several panful arthritis type attacks in my wrists,
fingers and feet. I had an elevated rheumatoid factor and sed rate. My family
doctor is convinced that I have rheumatoid and sent me to rheumatologist. The
rheumatologist does not think so and suggested diabetic arthritis. I have
never heard of this and can find nothing on the web. Does anyone have any
experience with this?

Thanks in advance

Gordon

Thanks for the reply. I appreciate it. None of the diseases match my symptoms
which supports my family physician's position.
