Diabetes and Cholesterol drugs Diabetes and Cholesterol drugs -- Posted by ZJ Driver on 11-11-04 22:34
Quick question...
My doctor is now concerned about a couple things that he had never brought
up before I was diagnosed as diabetic. One of these things is my
cholesterol and "fatty liver". Now, my cholesterol numbers are fine, 140
total last time I was in, but my doctor wants to prescribe Lipitor. He
indicated that it might help ensure my cholesterol stays down and may even
have a positive impact on the fatty liver. He also said something about it
helping flatten out my glucose number due to the impact on the liver.
Any thoughts on this? I am one of those people that avoids pill-popping
whenever possibe. The Zyrtec and Metformin daily is annoying enough but now
he wants to add the Lipitor.

Beware of Crestor -- read some articles that it may have bad side affects.
