We follow a veg diet and eat a lot of Tofu,
noodles (Soba and Rice) Tons of stir Frys and Rice.
We eat fish every so often mostly Sashimi and an occasional egg.
We drink slik milk (soy) and use it in cooking.
We get B12 shots once a month and take tons of vities and minerals.
My fav breakfast is Miso soup with chunks of Tofu and Nori in it.

OK. What is most important to vegetarians is
to put a meal together that contains all 8 of the
so-called essential amino acids. These are the 8 out of
22 amino acids that the body cannot synthesize on
its own.

Vegeaterian societies, such as the Hindus and
those of the pre-Columbian native Amwericans,
were able to do this by eating a grain and a
legume together at the same meal (in the
Americas, this was often done by eating corn
and beans at the same time).

However, the main problem with vegetarianism
is that when children are fed such a diet, they grow
up far from attaining the full potential height.

I was in hospital not long ago, and three generations
of Polish Jews were preseent in the room next door
to me. The oldest generation brought up in Poland, of which the father had
been hopitalizezd, were incredible small--way under 5 feet tall.

The next generation was considerably larger, and the
next were full-size by American standards.

This is but one small example of the fact that there is
more to meat that just its 22 amino acids. To name
but one of these ingredients is the conjugated linoic
acids.

Human beings evolved (or were created, if you
prefer) to be omniverous, meaning they are supposed
to eat both plants and animals. They were never
able to be herbiverous, meaning completely
plant eaters. You have to be something like a
ruminant (cows or horses) to make it as a
herbivore.

Sorry, that's just the hand of cards we humans have
been dealt, and nothing will change that, unless you
want your kids to grow up looking like they're
standing in a hole in the ground, and that doesn't
have any survival value at all.
