High Microalbuminuria and history of kidney stones

High Microalbuminuria and history of kidney stones -- Posted by Statia on 01-19-05 04:07

I was diagnosed type II diabetic about 5 months ago. I had to switch
doctors and new doctor ordered blood work. Hemoglobin A1C came back
good at 6.2 % but my Microalbuminuria was at 40. Doctor said that it
wasn't high but anything in the positive was not good. My concern is
that I have had history of kidney stones and when I wake in the night
time to go to the bathroom my kidneys feel sore. Sometimes they feel
sore during the day. What should be my next step. I feel silly this
is all new to me.

Note: Doctor recommended meds but not while my husband and I were
trying to conceive.

THank you
Statia

I don't know. There is more traffic on news:alt.support.diabetes if you can
filter out enough of the crap on that group, someone there might have
relevant experience. news:misc.health.diabetes might be good, too.
