More than likely you are genetically predisposed to develope diabetes
given your family history. Not much you can do about that. Sorry.

Two readings of >126 after fasting overnight generally indicates
diabetes. But no one on usenet can diagnose you and you certainly can't
diagnose yourself. See a doctor.

You do know you're digging your grave by shoveling that kind of crap
into your mouth, don't you? Regular pop and candy bars are the worst
thing you could be eating, especially if you have diabetes. And did you
know extreme hunger and thirst are symptoms of diabetes? See a doctor.
You need help.

I don't think it's very likely. There's lots of information on the net.
Do a Google search on diabetes. But don't try to diagnose or treat
yourself. You need medical help, even if you don't have diabetes, for
the obesity.
Once you start learning about diabetes you'll see that the complications
of letting this disease run uncontrolled are horrific. Heart attack,
stroke, blindness, impotence, amputation, kidney failure, liver failure
and more are all complications of uncontrolled diabetes. And, depending
on who you believe, it's the 5th or 6th leading cause of DEATH.

That's a wise decision and an excellent first step but you seriously
need to get to a doctor for help. I know guys don't like to go to the
doc. I still don't. In fact I hate it. But if it's a choice of life or a
horrible death it's really not a choice at all. YOU GOTTA GO!
>Your thoughts, please...
You got 'em. Sorry to be so tough on you. But maybe if someone had been
tougher on me in the beginning I wouldn't have lost 3 toes and part of a
foot to this damn disease. Get yourself to the doc! There's help out
there for you, but you gotta ask.

Some people have all the luck! How come your walking around with it 227 and
mine was 221 and I ended up flat on my back in the hospital? Of course I
had pneumonia too. Does this mean if it hadn't of been for the pneumonia I
may of gone even more months without knowing about the diabetes? The doctor
in the emergency room said I smelled like I had diabetes. I was just
wondering.

This is something that you sould really get control of. In fact, my father
is a diabetic and he used to have to take 140cc of insuline everyday. Now
he now only has to have 30cc a day and is getting better and better. The
reason for this is that I got him to drink this product that isn't really
marketed yet. Please go here for more information:
http://www.myvemma.com/alice62 and check out the product. This is not a
scam and it has worked for many people. I used to have High Cholesterol and
now it is down to normal and has been there for the past 2 months. There
isn't anything bad at all about the product. Check it out for yourself and
hope that all works well for you.

It's worse. They apparently have no idea that a cc of insulin of modern
insulin is 100 units. 140 cc's of insulin would be 14,000 units of insulin,
almost a quart and a half of the modern stuff. If some beggar was injecting
that, I'd be *REALLY, REALLY* surprised.
