LOL are you kidding? I was afraid to eat the past two weeks that probably
helped the numbers come down.

I knew what had to be done and started it and this week will know more and
do what ever it takes.
They told me they'd help me quit smoking. (I told them your gonna have to
cage me and feed me with a stick and they told me I don't need to quit cold
turkey again that I have to cut it in half for starters)

Oh shit. Both my big toes have that fungi crap and grow so thick I rip them
down the sides to stop the ingrown nails.

Nancy I'M GLAD I WENT THERE! You have no idea just how good I feel right

Since the BP drop I have more energy!!!!!!! And ache a bit less!!!

CB you have survived a serious episode in your life. (remember the
life insurance comment)
Smoking is one thing only you can control.
My doctor once asked me a question while discussing smoking cessation.
He asked me this;
"What are you, a man or a mouse?"
I no longer smoke!! I use the money I spent on that vile nasty habit
to fund a couple of nice vacations each year.
I think Yoda said the following,
There is no try, there is only do or not do!
So what are you? A man or a mouse?

I suppose so. All I know is pain, stress, etc. will raise my bg. I've been
feeling so good, that this fibro flare I have is really getting me down. Which
is why I have so much time to use the computer right now. I do not want to

HELLLLOOO Cheeky!
What a surprise to see you here! :)
(apologies to those who think I should bottom post) =)
IMO, your numbers indicate a probably diabetic condition and your thyroid
numbers are normal. That doesn't mean you don't have a thyroid problem, but it
sure looks normal for now.
Diet and exercise are your first weapons. Usually a doc wants to see you try
this before medicating, but not always.
You will have to learn how to count carbs (I use the palm of my hand to estimate
quantity--so it can be very easy). Not necessarily for a low carb diet, but to
limit foods that are converted to glucose fast by YOUR body. It's the old YMMV
thing. That is why you need a testing kit, pronto. Then you can figure out
what foods spike you (foods to avoid) and what foods do not spike you (foods you
can eat more of).
I can eat a lot more carbs than most people here. I avoid simple carbs, such as
baked goods, cereal, anything with sugar in it. I can eat corn and citrus
fruit, some here can't.
Someone posted the web site for this group--I still find it very useful in
figuring things out. It's a good place to start.
Can you start walking daily? My numbers changed for the better, because I was
walking at least 2 hours/day in Costa Rica. I don't have that kind of time at
home, so I do the best I can. I have an elliptical machine, but I can't use it
until I gain more weight.
Nice to see you here. :)
BTW, I've never received an email from you--can you try my hotmail address? I
need to tell you something about Jane's machine, before you go too far in
helping her. purple_cattery@hotmail.com and gnn4ever@surewest.net.

I have Fibromyalgia and it doesn't cause Insulin resistance that I know of.
If it does I would like to see this info. All Fibromyalgia patients can at
least walk every now and then to help their numbers if they have diabetes.
If they couldn't they wouldn't make it to their Doctors office. I have had
this disease for years now, and I always have good days and bad. Your just
out of shape. Start gradual and work yourself up. Walk a little further
each week. Before you know it you will be walking blocks with ease. If you
have too, sit and do the exercises like I do. But don't let either the
Diabetes or the Fibromyalgia run your life. You have to get motivated and
want to get better. BTW I do the exercises regardless if I am hurting or
not. Yes I have to stop sooner than I want too. But at least I can say I
am trying. So hop to it.
