Have you tried the "Sinfully Delicious Candy Bites"? I found them at
my grocery store last week and at 2 calories per piece, not an
influence on BG. $2.99 for a sampler box of 12 flavors (3 pieces per
flavor) They taste pretty good!

And no, I have no affiliation with either the candy company NOR the
grocery store!

My dad is Type 2 and he has developed neuropathy in the past few years. My
sister found a company somewhere in northwest US that received an approval
from the FDA to produce Near Infrared Light Therapy units for use by people
with Diabetes. There is science that supports the reversal of neuropathy
using 890nM infrared light and this company builds these things for that
purpose.

They are expensive. As I recall $3,000 to $5,000 each. My dad's doctor tried
to get him one but my dad's insurance company dragged their feet for 3
months before turning him down on covering the cost of the unit.

I have an electronics background so I located the 890nM LED's from an
electronics supply company and built him one. He's been using it for about 3
months and he said he no longer gets the painful tingling in his toes. He
uses it in the evening when he sits and watches TV. I made it with two
seperate pads of LED"s and a velcro strap that lets him strap a pad to each
foot.

If you have a relative who is handy with a soldering iron it can be done
pretty easlily and for under a few hundred dollars.

Have you heard of Tahitian Noni? I work with several MDs and we seeing
results from this product. It is a natural fruit juice from Tahiti
that the natives have been using for over 2000 years. It works! Many
patients are leveling out their sugars and reducing their insulin. It
seems to be permanent as well. To Educate yourself on this go to
www.noni.com/markp or www.tni.com/markp
For testimonials from other diabetics that are using this go to:
