I found it interesting to see the size of the containers used for the various
people whose services I've attended.
The young man I mentioned in my previous post had withered away due to
cancer. The "bowl" holding his ashes was much smaller than I would've
expected. Last year I held a container of ashes that was surprisingly
heavy and was at least double, if not triple the size of the bowl just
mentioned. Those ashes were of a large man, 6'2", maybe taller, and a
stocky, big bone build but not obese. But the biggest urn I've ever seen
held the ashes of a local Hawaiian celebrity who passed away in his 30s
from complications of obesity. He was hovering around the 700 lb mark.
From the cliff above the bay where his ashes were scattered from a boat
I watched as the ashes continued to pour from the urn for what seemed
like several minutes (it wasn't, of course, but it did take longer than
I ever thought possible). It took 2 people to hold that urn due to it's
size and weight.

They certainly take more effort to smoke than a pinner would. :)
