Im getting Tired of this ( Exercise = BG Rise!! ) -- Posted by 2yngforthis on 08-09-05 23:27

I swear something is wrong with me. No matter how much I exercise it
doesn't help.
I just did a good 45 minutes of cardio workout. Afterwards had a 15 carb
snack.
2 hours later my BG is 250! everyday i deal with this. I don't understand.
Im type 1.
My doc raised my insulin the last few months because my numbers always creep
up to
around 200.. I just don't get it. I can't even eat a 15-20 carb mean without
a 50 pt BG spike
minimum. makes no sense.. and I exercise 5 or 6 days a week. and Im a health
nut on top
of that all i do is eat healthy foods. ARGGGHHH !

I needed to vent.. I don't kno where to go.. my docs SUCK

Hi 2yngforthis,
Are you doing 45 minutes cardio to loose weight or to build endurance.
Have you tried to reduce your cardio and add more times to do weight
lifting (anarobic style). Take care.

Ya I actually mostly do lift weights. I Lift 5 times a week for an hour. 2
of those
days I also do 30min cardio, and 1 day i do at least 45 min.

I suggest repeating your message over on alt.support.diabetes. There
is much more traffic in that newsgroup and you'll get lots of
suggestions, I'm sure.

There are several T1s over there who have gone thorugh what you're
going through now. Please ask there.
