A few years ago, the founders of Enliven, Mitchell Tate and Michael Lee, traveled to Tahiti with their families. While attending a private luau, the host of the party introduced Mitch and Mike to a strange looking fruit called Noni. They learned that the Noni plant had been used by Polynesians for thousands of years to treat a wide variety of health problems, including pain relief, sinus infections, arthritis, colds, flu, headaches, and menstrual problems. Noni is the most widely used botanical herb in Polynesia, yet it was generally unknown to the Western World. Were it not for their trip and this discovery, the Western World would probably still be in the dark regarding Noni and the Noni Industry would not exist as it does today.
Upon his return home, Mitch shared Noni with many of his clients and was amazed at the results. It was everything the Polynesians had told him, plus more. Appreciating the significance and importance of Noni, and driven by his desire to help people, Mitch formed a vision of bringing Noni to the rest of the world.
When asked why Noni works, Polynesians readily admit they do not know. A few pharmaceutical companies tried to isolate the "active ingredient" of Noni, and failed. In 1998, three researchers received the Nobel Prize for Medicine for their discoveries concerning the effects of Nitric Oxide, a biological gas that helps control many bodily functions.
Enliven International noted a direct correlation between the reported benefits of Nitric Oxide and those of Noni. We then conducted research that resulted in a breakthrough discovery: in endothelial cell tests in vitro, all forms of Noni tested produced a Nitric Oxide effect. Enliven first tested a form of Noni that it suspected would have the least powerful Nitric Oxide effect-diluted, flavored Noni juice reconstituted from a puree or from fruit powder. For our testing, we selected a Noni juice product that originated out of Hawaii which we believed was representative of the flavored Noni juice class. To our surprise, even this diluted Noni juice produced a Nitric Oxide effect in vitro. (Please note: Enliven did not test every flavored Noni juice on the market.)
Not all Noni is equal. Noni leaf, for example, was found to produce a Nitric Oxide effect approximately four times greater than the tested juice. Further research showed that certain parts of the plant in combination with other parts produce an even greater Nitric Oxide effect. This enabled Enliven to develop a new concentrated Noni product called NITRO FX?. NITRO FXTM utilizes the best parts of the Noni plant, in various combinations, and concentrates them into a proprietary extract. This extract is so powerful that it produces a Nitric Oxide effect in endothelial test in vitro 50 times greater than reconstituted flavored Noni Juice!
